Josh Seiden Named Humanitarian of the Year by Cooley’s Anemia Foundation

Josh Seiden is extremely proud and honored to be named the 2024 Cooley’s Anemia Foundations Humanitarian of the Year. This is a foundation that is near and dear to Josh’s heart since he first attended the Long Island Cooley’s Anemia Care Walk in 2017 to raise funds and awareness for Team Giuseppe, Josh’s nephew, in his fight against Cooley’s Anemia.

Josh has been the President and CEO of LMJ Management and Construction since 2013, he has grown the company into one of the largest commercial construction firms on Long Island.  Josh started working for LMJ at an early age.  In high school, he would clean up job sites that his father, Mark would bring him to. He quickly found the world of construction to be exhilarating and aspired to learn as much as possible. Josh knew he wanted to be in the family business, but his father insisted on a college education. He attended Hofstra University, earning his bachelor’s degree in business while working part time for LMJ, where he gained valuable experience from his father in supervising job sites, learning how to read drawings, and how to bid projects.

As soon as Josh graduated, he joined LMJ full time as a project manager, overseeing and coordinating construction projects from beginning to completion. Due to Josh’s expertise LMJ primarily constructs and renovates pharmaceutical plants, food distribution centers, and high-tech logistical centers.  Josh prides himself on being involved in each project and works closely with his team, ensuring that everyone on his team is growing with LMJ in their knowledge and love of the construction industry.

Josh has worked incredibly hard to achieve his goals while taking time to give back to the community and important charities he values. Josh has served on the board for the American Heart Association for “Hard Hats with Heart”, he is a sponsor for the Little Flower School Foundation in Wading River, NY, and donated time/resources for a project with Island Harvest Food Bank. He recently has been working closely with the Town of Islip and the Parks Department in constructing a special needs Serenity Gardens located in East Islip. Josh is also a proud sponsor for Central Nassau Guidance and Counseling Services.  Josh was awarded Long Island Business News 30 under 30, 40 under 40, and the LIBN Executive Circle Award.

Josh’s key to success is based on his strong work ethic.  Anyone that knows Josh, knows that he wakes up at 3am to spend 4 hours in the home office answering emails and is the last one in the office every night.  Even though Josh is dedicated to his work, he would say his greatest achievement is his family.  He still makes time in the morning to make his kids breakfast, bring his sons to soccer on the weekends and martial arts in the evening.

Josh has been happily married to his wife, Lauren, for 5 years and together they have three amazing and wild sons Jack, Josh, and Jace. Jack is 4 years old in PreK, he loves driving his go-kart around with daddy and wrestling. Josh “Joshy” is 3 years old and couldn’t be more like his dad. He loves to cuddle daddy on the couch watching his favorite shows and play cars.  Jace is 1 years old and runs to the door to see daddy when he comes home. In his (rare) free time, Josh enjoys snowboarding, going on the boat, being around friends and family and spending time traveling with his wife.
